This is a great idea, we’re just trying to figure out the best way to sort through it all!
I have seen a lot of OEM DJ equipment that looks to me like it is made in the same factory's as the Big brands in China. Lots of controllers and Dj equipment that has a KIRF image to people in the west. Is this stuff any good and are we being ripped off as DJ's are suckers for brands and image.9 votes
I’ll see if we can make this happen at NAMM this year – there should be a fair amount of China OEM stuff there that maybe we can do an article on.
i think today there's too much confusion over what people are doing..and the public and other muso's getting confused...
1/ beatmatching... blending two tracks
2/ mixing...includes beatmatching...and making 3 songs from two tracks
3/ DJ... person who jockys vinyl
4/ composer/ producer...person who makes tracks and plays it how they want
5/ master sound technician ..includes all of the above
To many arguments regarding the old fashioned dj name..i see djs giving other muso's shit about vinyl or this and that!! due to a lack of understanding!1 vote
all you need is to see this video, you guys can figure out the rest ;)0 votes
